Exciting times

I'm excited about quite a few things lately!

- My brother has been home from the hospital since yesterday. His doctors were amazed by how fast he was recovering and there was no point in him staying in the hospital, so he was discharged Saturday morning. We're very glad to have him home again, because it's always such a sad moment when visiting hours are over and you have to leave him in the hospital.

- Today K. and I had lunch at my parents' house and I ended up staying the entire afternoon. A while ago, I came across an idea for a DIY wedding gift for K. on a wedding forum. It took me a few days to realize that agreeing to spend the rest of our lives together was one of the biggest gifts we could ever give each other, so I decided to give him the present for our 5 year anniversary on December 3. Stage 1 of my super secret project (as I call it) has been completed a few days ago, so today I started stage 2 at my parents' house. I can't do it at home, as K. isn't allowed to know what it is. He kind of despises me for mentioning my "super secret project" every once in a while without actually telling him what it is. He's so frustrated it's cute. :) 

- Our wedding day is getting closer and closer by the second - literally! There are still lots of little things and details that need to be arranged and discussed, but we're getting there. Important things left on our to do list: confirming the menu, printing our menus, discussing the music with our DJ, checking out locations with our photographer, sending out our invitations, picking up our wedding rings, finding a florist, finishing our centerpieces (but we need a florist for that), etc. I'm counting the days until I can finally call K. my husband. The idea of having a husband seems so grown up though, I feel like a giggly little schoolgirl just thinking about it, haha!

 

-  About two years ago, I started wondering what our children would look like, so I found this website that is supposed to generate a picture of your future baby. This is the result:
