Maternity shoot

As I mentioned in my last post, Klaas and I had maternity pictures taken by Joke. We got the pictures last night and we're really happy with how they turned out. Here are our favorites.

Now we have one daunting task left: choosing which pictures we will print and frame. We like so many of them!

Week 33

7 or so more weeks to go!

I haven't been feeling too well this week. My pelvis is officially a big pain in the ass (haha!) and getting up (from the couch, the car, out of bed,...) has become impossible without waddling the first 10 steps. I've also been having a lot of weird aches and pains that had me concerned about preterm labor. The midwife at our prenatal class assured me that as long as it doesn't start to hurt really badly and/or doesn't hurt on a regular basis (like contractions would) I shouldn't worry. So I'm staying positive, just sucking it up and counting down (or actually up - until week 37 because that's when a baby is no longer considered premature).

I read that as you get closer to your due date, you feel your baby less and less because there's less room to move around in there, but none of that seems to be true in my case. The baby is SUPER active and I feel as though I feel it move around a lot more than say 10 weeks ago. Of course the bun is getting bigger and bigger, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. Tiny feet hurt less than big ones. :-)

We have our sixth and last prenatal class this week. Where did those other 5 weeks go?! The classes have been a lot of fun and we've really enjoyed taking them together. I remember thinking at the start of the course how 6 weeks was such a long time. I was 27 weeks along at that time and thought "Wow, at the end of this course, I'll almost be in my final weeks of pregnancy, how crazy!" And now we're already here... Time sure flies.

Klaas and I met up with Joke for a maternity shoot this morning. It was a lot of fun and we think the results are great, even without having seen the edited pictures yet. Here's a teaser she gave us.
