Difficult times

This weekend has been crazy busy. We were supposed to go for my mom's dress fitting for the wedding yesterday, but we couldn't make it because my brother has been in the hospital since Friday. He's undergone some pretty major surgery and is still in the ICU. I won't go into detail on here, but we're optimistic and hoping he'll make a full recovery.

K. and I went to his grandparents yesterday for his grandpa's birthday. I didn't really feel like going on a family visit considering the circumstances, but I'm glad we went anyway. It took my mind off of things and K. and I enjoyed our craziness.

 

A few months ago, I sowed wildflowers in our garden. They've been blooming for a few weeks now - finally! I asked K. to take some pictures of them and he finally did today, so check them out. You'll have to overlook the weeds, though.

What do you think? Do you like our flowers? They've looked better than they do in these pictures, which is a shame. Oh well, they'll be back next year. :)
