Went to a Party

A Bloc Party, to be more precise. Bloc Party are by far my favorite band. I love them so much because they tie in perfectly to music taste. They were pure indie rock at a time when I despised anything that wasn't, they added an elektro touch to their tunes when I met Klaas and starting appreciating elektro, and right now, they're absolutely crazy. I can't describe their most recent album - it's all over the place.

I had seen Bloc Party about 6 or 7 times since I became a fan in 2004, so when I found out in September that they were doing a gig in Belgium in February, I knew I had to go. I asked Klaas if he wanted to go with me and he did, which absolutely delighted me. We got there at 7.15 and found out there wasn't that much of a crowd yet, so we walked up to the stage and made it to the second row.

When their support act was over (yikes!) and the lights dimmed for them to come on stage, I got SO excited. When Mr. Tong (the drummer) came out from backstage wearing nothing but jeans shorts (Meow! It normally takes about three songs for him to take his shirt off!), I felt my inner fangirl emerge (Ahhh, there she is!) and started jumping up and down, squealing and tugging on Klaas's sleeve.

Ohhh, pretty!

They rock a glockenspiel.

I find Gordon very sexy ever since he became a daddy. That's not wrong, is it?
Nor is me calling him daddy. Right?

I now have a new favorite song. It's romantic, but still cool and upbeat:

I wish I could meet them again, because they are so so nice. I am theirs. Ok, I miss them now. :(
