Goodbye for a little while

K. and I are going camping tomorrow. We'll be gone until Sunday. I'm not particularly looking forward to it as I'm not a very outdoorsy person, but I guess I'll survive. Two nights isn't that long... Right?

I made stuffed zucchini for the very first time last night! My baking friend is growing her own veggies and she has so many zucchini(s?) that she can't possibly eat them all by herself. We really liked it!

We also got a new puppy last weekend! My future sister-in-law is getting a puppy next week and one of its sisters still didn't have an owner. So K. and I were looking into maybe adopting that one. Unfortunately (or should I say, luckily) it was already taken by the time we called the owner. Besides, it was far too expensive (over 1,000 euros!). We started searching the internet for Border Collies (like Flo) and we found the cutest little puppy. :) Flo is a blue merle Collie, which means that she has a merle pattern on a black base coat. This new puppy is a red merle tan, which is a merle pattern on a brown base coat. The tan refers to some smudges of beige/ginger around the eyes and on the rest of his body. We made the call and he was still available, so we drove out to meet him! When we came in, he came running straight at us, jumping up and begging for attention. We took him home, of course.

I love him so much already. :) He even has a pedigree, by the way, but we're not sure whether we're going to want to use him as a stud dog. We'd really like for Flo to have puppies at one point too... Either way, we're going to have to get one of the two "fixed", because their potential puppies wouldn't be healthy at all (click here to see what happens if you cross two merles).

Anyway, that's all for now. I really hope our camping trip won't be that bad. Wish me luck!
